El-Hadj Cisse

Head Coach

Cisse is the Sr. Director for Raleigh International Football Club (RIFC). Cisse was born in Ivory Coast and moved to New York when he was 14.  He received a full scholarship to play at North Carolina State University and was then drafted by Chivas USA (MLS).  Due to injury, Cisse decided to hang up his boots and focus on his passion, coaching youth soccer.

Wonder Nyatanga

Director of Player Personnel and Head of Scouting

Wonder is originally from Zimbabwe and is an IT professional for Hewlett Packard Enterprises. He played semi-professional soccer in Zimbabwe for CAPS United Reserves before moving to the US to further his education.

An ardent student of the game, Wonder also played for Raleigh International FC during the early days. He took up the coaching duties in the late 2000's winning the local league (TASL) and multiple tournaments.

Wonder brings a wealth of talent in identifying talent and mentoring young players. 

Raul Hernandez

Associate Director of Player Personnel & Scouting

Raúl grew up in Honduras where he began playing soccer at a young age. He moved to Jersey City, NJ as a teenager, where he played for a local soccer team an started to grow his passion. In 2001 he moved to Raleigh, NC joining multiple soccer teams to perfect his techniques and plant his roots in the local soccer world. At the age of 30 in 2015 he began to coach at FC La Curruncha at MLS Jr league which he got 1 championships And 3 sub-championship. He has been helping in the Hispanic community and recruiting young generations for Raleigh international FC since 2018 to help to grow and mixed different cultures for our refugees players.

Raúl brings the experience as coach With his intense passion for the game he now looks to mentor others in the art. He is well known and respected throughout the soccer community and is always there to lend encouragements He looks forward to pushing the players to excel and to bring many accomplishments

Muema (Moe) Matheka

Partnerships & Digital Media Administrator 

Muema (Moe) was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. He recently moved back to the area after finishing his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Broadcasting and Marketing from the University of Alabama.  For the last two seasons at Alabama, Muema was an undergraduate assistant coach for Alabama's Division 1 Women's Soccer Program.  Some duties included organizing and facilitating the varsity training sessions and the youth Olympic Development Program (ODP) hosted annually by the university. He attended Broughton High School, playing on varsity for 3 years, while also playing for CASL and Carolina Soccer Club.
